As part of our commitment to environmental sustainability and our ongoing effort to reduce our carbon footprint, in 2018 ATLON installed a total of 12,000 square metres of PV solar panels capable of generating more than 2.7 megawatts of electricity per year. Designed specifically for the factory building, the 6000-panel configuration is able to save around 3,300 tonnes of carbon dioxide from power generation annually.

During research and development, we assess every component of the formula to ascertain ecological and environmental impact, and we only develop product formulas which are recyclable at the end point of their service life. Furthermore, during manufacture we operate with a focus on energy efficiency and minimizing pollution; utilising our own in-house recycling facilities to reduce/re-use/recycle 100% of our own production waste.

ATLON has taken the significant step of securing Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for our entire range of composite panels. Verified by independent third-party experts in accordance with ISO 14025 and EN 15804 standards, these EPDs provide full, transparent disclosure of our products' environmental performance across their entire lifecycle—from raw material sourcing and manufacturing through to installation and end-of-life procedures.
The International EPD System (www.environdec.com) is a science-based, internationally recognised document that allows architects, specifiers, and developers to make informed, data-driven decisions regarding building material selection. For every panel that ATLON produces, our EPDs quantify critical metrics including Global Warming Potential (carbon footprint), energy consumption, water usage, and resource depletion. This level of transparency empowers our customers to confidently pursue green building certifications such as LEED and other sustainability rating systems, where EPDs contribute directly toward valuable credits.
